Garba and Sybill both automate the sales admin — CRM updates, follow-ups, coaching — and both do it properly. The differences that decide it are where your data is processed, whether you want your playbook enforced or inferred, and how much deal history you have to learn from.
Choose Garba if your team is European and EU data processing needs to be the default, or if rep adoption is what went wrong last time.
Choose Sybill if the goal is to have AI work out what winning looks like from your historical won/lost deals, if a context graph across buyers, reps and products is the thing you're missing, or if published pricing matters to your procurement process.
| Attribute | Garba | Sybill |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | European sales teams that need adoption, not another dashboard | Revenue teams mining historical deals for a playbook |
| Built around | The rep's day — output arrives without the rep going to get it | Institutional memory — what won before, applied to what's open now |
| EU data residency | Default. 100% of data processed in the EU, nothing to configure | Not published. Strong compliance posture — SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI DSS, a DPO and a signed DPA — but no stated data location |
| CRM auto-fill | Field-level from every conversation — no rep data entry | Field-level — MEDDPICC, BANT, custom fields |
| Follow-up drafting | Recap and next steps drafted the moment the call ends | Drafted after calls |
| Coaching model | Self-scoring against the playbook you've defined | Recommendations inferred from deals you've actually won and lost |
| Deal intelligence | Pipeline risk signals and deal context from conversations | A context graph across buyers, reps, products and deals — deeper here |
| Pricing | Custom | Published: Free / $30 / $90 per user/mo |
GDPR and data residency
Garba
Garba processes 100% of customer data in the EU. Structural, not a configuration option, with a DPA as standard. Garba AI AB is a Swedish company operating from Malmö.
Sybill
Sybill's compliance posture is genuinely solid and worth stating accurately: SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, GDPR and PCI DSS, a public trust centre carrying the SOC 2 report, penetration tests and a signed DPA, and a named Data Protection Officer. They operate as a data processor under GDPR.
What isn't published is where customer data is stored and processed. GDPR compliance and EU data residency are different questions — a vendor can be fully compliant while processing your recordings in the US, which is a live concern for EU buyers in regulated industries. If residency is a hard requirement, ask Sybill directly and get the answer into the DPA.
Who the product is built around
Garba
Garba is built so the rep gets value before the manager does. CRM updates, drafted follow-ups and playbook scores land automatically — nothing to log into, nothing to review to get the benefit. That's the entire adoption argument.
BIMobject replaced 50+ Gong licences with Garba in 2025 and reached adoption across the revenue team in week one, which they had never managed with Gong.
Sybill
Sybill is both manager- and rep-facing, and its value builds as more deal history accumulates. That's a different shape of return: less "this call is already handled", more "here's what the last two years say you should do next".
Playbook — enforced or inferred (Sybill's strongest card)
Garba
Garba scores each rep against the playbook your team has defined, immediately after the call. That suits teams who know what good looks like and need it applied consistently — the constraint being that it's only as good as the playbook you wrote.
Sybill
Sybill's core bet is the inverse: learn from every deal you've won and lost, and derive what works. Which objections get handled well, which messaging wins in which segment, which behaviours correlate with closing — then coach against that rather than a framework someone wrote in a doc.
If you have real deal history and want the playbook discovered rather than declared, that's the stronger model, and it's the honest reason to choose them. It does need volume: with thin history there's nothing to infer from.
Deal intelligence
Garba
Garba surfaces pipeline risk signals and deal context out of the conversations themselves — where a deal actually stands, what's qualified, what's about to stall, and Ask Garba for plain-language questions across every call and email.
Sybill
Sybill builds a context graph mapping how deals, reps, buyers and products interrelate across channels, and uses it to explain why a deal stalled and what to do about it. It also frames this as institutional memory — what a rep knew, retained after that rep leaves.
For RevOps-heavy teams whose question is "why is this happening across the portfolio", that graph goes deeper than what we do.
Price and transparency
Garba
Garba's pricing is custom, which is a worse answer for a procurement process than a published number and we won't pretend otherwise. The concrete reference: BIMobject replaced their Gong contract at roughly a third of what they had been paying.
Sybill
Sybill publishes its pricing, which in this category is rare and genuinely useful: Free at $0, Pro at $30 per user per month, Business at $90, and custom Enterprise. CRM auto-fill and API/MCP access sit at the Business tier.
If you need a number you can put in a business case before booking a call, that's a real advantage.
Choose Garba when — you're in Europe and EU processing has to be the default; reps didn't adopt the last tool; you want CRM hygiene and follow-ups handled without a behaviour change; you already know your playbook and need it applied consistently.
Choose Sybill when — you want the playbook inferred from your own won/lost history rather than declared; a context graph across buyers, reps and products is the missing piece; institutional memory surviving rep turnover is the problem; published pricing matters to procurement; data residency isn't a constraint.
Sybill doesn't publish a data location. Its compliance posture is strong — SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, GDPR and PCI DSS, a public trust centre with a signed DPA, and a named Data Protection Officer — but GDPR compliance and EU data residency are separate questions, and a vendor can be fully compliant while processing data outside the EU. If residency is a hard requirement, ask Sybill directly and get the answer into your DPA.
Yes. Garba processes 100% of customer data within the EU by default, with nothing to configure, and a Data Processing Agreement is provided as standard. Garba AI AB is a Swedish company based in Malmö.
Sybill publishes its pricing: Free at $0, Pro at $30 per user per month, Business at $90 per user per month, and custom Enterprise pricing. CRM auto-fill, API and MCP access sit at the Business tier. Garba's pricing is custom — the reference point we can give is that BIMobject replaced their Gong contract with Garba at roughly one-third of what they had been paying.
They coach differently rather than one being better. Garba scores reps against the playbook your team defined, immediately after each call, so feedback is fast and consistent — but only as good as the playbook. Sybill infers what works from your won and lost deals and coaches against that, which is stronger if you have real deal history and want the playbook discovered rather than declared, and weaker if your history is thin.
Both auto-fill CRM fields from call data with no rep entry, and both handle MEDDPICC, BANT and custom fields. The difference is what happens next: Garba routes output into the rep's workflow — drafted follow-ups, playbook scores — while Sybill routes it into historical deal intelligence. Note that on Sybill this sits at the Business tier.
Yes, for the core use cases: call capture, CRM updates, coaching and follow-up automation. Teams migrating from Gong to either tool report no functional gaps in their primary workflows. If you bought Gong specifically for enterprise deal inspection and forecasting depth, evaluate that side by side first.

We're a competitor writing about a competitor. Sybill's certifications and pricing here come from their own trust centre and pricing page, and where they're stronger we've said so. Something out of date or wrong? Email support@garba.ai and we'll correct it.
